Rescue Tubes

Over the past 40 years more than 600 individuals have been engulfed and suffocated in flowing grain. These incidents have occurred in grain storage structures, grain storage pile, and grain transport vehicles. Based upon research conducted at Purdue University, approximately 80 percent of the cases documented that involved a partially entrapped victim, resulted in a fatality.

StateLine Cooperative is providing entrapment rescue equipment for the communities in which we live and serve.  We have donated Liberty Rescue Tubes to seven local Fire Departments in our trade area to be used by the entire community for rescues due to grain engulfments, both on and off the farm,  as well as trenching accidents.  In addition to the equipment, StateLine will be providing training for the local fire departments on entrapment rescues and the use of the new Liberty Rescue Tubes.
